Nana & Gracie

Nana, RJ, Gracie, Lucie, and Papa!

Nana & Papa holding Lucie

Lucie warmed up to Nana!

This past Monday the 25th we had the opportunity to visit with my in-laws from California! RJ and I both took the day off of work so that we could spend some quality time with them. They met Gracie last year when she was only 7 months old and hadn't met Lucie yet. So it was like meeting them both for the first time! It took a little bit but the girls both warmed up to them. Alex was able to make it over to visit so that was good. We can't wait for the next time we see them!

10 months old................

Our Lu-Lu Belle

It's hard to believe that my baby girl is 10 months old already. She is doing so many new things each and everyday. Crawling, walking, climbing, when does it end? She loves cuddling with her Daddy and playing with her big sister Gracie. I really think they are going to be best friends! Planning her 1st birthday is just around the corner. We still haven't decided when to celebrate her birthday, but we know for sure that it won't be on Christmas. Her birthday is the 28th and should be seperate just like everyone elses. Oh well, we have a couple of months to decide! Until then, my sweet little baby is 10 months old and I love her so very much.
Love you Lu-Lu Belle!
Love,
Mom & Dad

Week in review.......

Here at the Vodenik household the kids have been sick pretty much for the past 2 weeks. Gracie has had some sort of eye goobery thing going on, and a small cough. Lucie has been ok, but tired, and Alex has been to the doctor twice now. We are waiting on test results to see just exactly what he has. I am hoping that he has something like strep, and nothing serious like meningitis or mono. We won't know until his mom calls to tell us what it is.
Alex played in his final football game as a 7th grader last night. He didn't play very well, but we will chalk it up to the fact that he is SICK and shouldn't have been playing to begin with. We are glad the season is over, but at the same time we love football, so what can you say....
Lucie is walking all over and I love it. She looks so dang cute playing with Gracie. Yesterday they were holding hands walking through the livingroom.
I got Gracie's birthday invites printed out today and we will finish them tonight and get them sent out tomorrow hopefully. We decided to have a big party for her 2nd birthday since we didn't invite everyone to the 1st one. We didn't want to leave anyone out so we are renting the historical society basement and having everyone there!
That is pretty much what went on this week, we have a busy weekend planned and will post pictures from that later on.....

It's Pumpkin Time!!!!

Gracie and Mom worked together to cut the lids out....

Dad and Gracie started by cleaning out the pumpkins..

Lucie said she wanted this one right away...

Gracie had a very hard time choosing the right one...

We started by walking up and down the aisles......

So today we made our first trip (at least one more to come) to the pumpkin patch! All three kids picked out their own pumpkin and then RJ and I did too! Then we started to carve them at home, but were interrupted by three sick kids. So we decided to curb the carving and put it on hold until maybe tomorrow............................
But here are a few pictures to show how we got started.......

7th grade football

#87
Alex is the tall one! Alex has been playing football this year for the 7th grade junior high team! He plays on the "A" team and is playing every bit of the game. He is a tight end and says he is the back up quarterback, but so far they haven't had the opportunity to put him in to see his skills! Hopefully before the season ends he will get the chance to see how good he is in that position!

Go Boone!

7th Grade, 2 year, 9 month pictures.....

So now Alex is in 7th grade, Gracie is about to turn 2 years old, and Lucie has just turned 9 months old! Time is just flying by.

Now and again....

Every now and again I start to wonder "why me?". Why does it seem that everything that could go wrong is going wrong? I'm not trying to have a pitty party for myself, but sometimes it just seems to be too much, you know. I guess this is my way of venting. RJ has been working with his brother after work almost everyday to "help us out", and he is so tired when he gets home. I wish we could win the lottery and he wouldn't have to work so much. The girls and I miss him. I know this is only a temporary situation, but it just plain sucks. I wish I could contribute more financially, but without getting a second job (which RJ says is out of the question) I haven't been able to find another source of income. It's just not fair, ok I said it. Now that I have got that out of my system for the day, I can move on!

Guess who's walking???????

That's right our little Lu-Lu Belle is starting to walk! She has started at the same age as Gracie was when she started walking, 9 months! She loves it and is doing very well. RJ and I are so excited! Hopefully I will be able to get more pictures posted on here of her new adventures!!
