Deals Orchard 2013.........

We had a great time visiting Deal's Orchard this past Sunday.  RJ and I took the girls and met my sister Kari and her husband Dave and my nephew Beau.  It was a little windy, but the day was beautiful.  The girls had fun jumping on the huge trampoline, sliding down the slide on saucers, rolling the huge tubes back and forth, feeding the goats, petting the bunnies, riding little tractors, riding the little plane ride, playing in the corn pit and going on the hayride.  It was very busy, busy, busy.  We then went to Madrid for the Annual Grandma Pat's Hayride (my friend Jamie's grandma).  The girls got a double dose of hayrides!!!!!!

Papa Princess Ball 2013 & Ashley's Wedding.........

RJ & Gracie attended the Papa Princess Ball put on by Sacred Heart School in Boone.  It is open to all girls in Pre-K through 8th grade.  Aunt Erica came over and did her hair and make up and Grandma Beth helped get her ready.  They had a blast, and Gracie fell asleep on RJ's shoulder while they were dancing towards the end of the night.

Lucie and I attended my boot camp buddie's wedding in Webster City the same day as the Papa Princess Ball.  I did Lucie's hair and makeup and she got a very pretty dress to wear with a crown.  We made it her own little princess ball.  She danced the night away and had sooo much fun.

Pre-K jitters...........

Gracie started Pre-school today, Friday the 30th of August 2013!  She has been so extremely excited all week.  The morning started off great, she woke up early at 6:15 and was beaming!  RJ and I took her to school at 8.  We walked into the school and she was a little nervous with all of the other kids pouring into the school at the same time, so she grabbed Dad's hand and continued on.  Once inside the classroom she put away her backpack in her locker and found her name tag to wear.  Dad and I gave her a big kiss and hug and said good-bye.  I guess she started to cry a little after we left but the teacher assured her she would be ok and that we would be back to get her after school!  She only goes from 8-11am!

I picked her up after school and she was a little sad.  She missed us and wanted to go home.  Hopefully it goes better next week!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost there.......

So my twin sistergirl Kari is scheduled to have this little guy "Beau" next Friday the 28th by c-section if he doesn't turn.  He is transverse right now and the Dr. doesn't think he is going to turn.  She is currently measuring 46 weeks and at the ultra sound last Monday he was already 8lbs, 11 or give or take a pound.  She is pretty uncomfortable and is now off work until after maternity leave is over.

Our little piece of paradise...........

Home Sweet Home, finally.  We have been stuck in a very small apartment for 10 months and were lucky enough to come across this wonderful home!  It took about 5 1/2 weeks but we finally can call it ours.  It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining room, living room, a small mud room off the back and a huge enclosed front porch for the girls to play in!  Not to mention they now have a HUGE back yard to run around and enjoy, we love it.  Although it doesn't have a garage currently, we bought a shed to match the house for the backyard to keep the lawn mowers and yard things. We will build a garage at a later date!

Bootcamp Peeps.......

 6pm Bootcamp Babes

 2013 Running the hill

The picture below was of us last year when we ran the hill at McHose!

2012 Running the hill

5 on Friday..........

1.  Bootcamp this week started with a trip to McHose Park in Boone to run the skating pond hill.  2 1/2 miles later we finished our sprints.  My poor calves have taken the brunt of my hardwork.  Today I finally woke up and my calves weren't killing me.

2.  Wednesday RJ and I took Gracie to her Pre-K open house at Sacred Heart School.  She was so excited and it went very well.  She jumped right in and played with the other kids.  At first she kind of looked around at all of them and then turned around and started cleaning up all the toys that were lying all over the floor.  She enjoyed meeting her teacher and I was pleased that I knew several of the parents.

3.  RJ's schedule has changed once again.  Someone at work got hurt and will be out for 10-12 weeks, so RJ will be covering for him working the 11pm-7am shift, Sunday -Thursday.  This actually works out great for us with getting ready to move.

4.  Lucie fell outside on Tuesday night and skinned her knee pretty bad.  This has made bath time not very fun since we have to be very careful not to break her leg as she put's it.  Applying and reapplying ointment and band-aids has been a constant thing this week.

5.  Thank God it's Friday.  Alex has basketball games all weekend and we are looking forward to just hanging out as a family watching him and packing while at home.  Of course there isn't much else to do since it's May 3rd and SNOWING.............
