3 months and counting....

Today marks the 3 month anniversary of the day I started my new job as a Purchasing Assistant at Fareway.  While I was very apprehensive about starting over after being at Caffrey's for 19 years, it has turned out to be not so bad.  I am still getting used to being pretty busy, but I like it.  It's fun. 

I do miss my Caffrey Family.  It's very weird not to see everyone everyday like I used to.  It is getting easier to kind of let go, but I will never forget them. 

11 years and counting............

RJ and I had the pleasure of celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary in Mexico this year.  We spent July 24 through July 31st in La Isla Mujeras, Mexico.  So many memories and the weather was hot.  We had a great time and can't wait to do something like that again. 

Pre-K Graduation for Gracie.............

Gracie Jane has completed Pre-School at Sacred Heart School.  She has had an amazing year of school and can't wait for kindergarten.  Gracie has made many friends but her "best friend" is Maggie.  She had two boyfriends this year.  Her first love is Tyce Carlson.  He is a cutie.  RJ and I work out with his Mom and Dad.  Gracie has developed quite the crush.  Developmentally and socially she is beyond the charts.  We have a little braniac on our hands!!  We are very proud of her and all her accomplishments this year.

A Real Vacation.............

Well we booked our vacation for our 11 year anniversary!  We are going to the Isla Mujeres in Mexico.  Yes, just RJ and I.  We never really had a honeymoon and we are both very excited about it.  7 whole days away just the two of us.  It's very much overdue and needed.  The girls will be staying with my parents while we are gone. They are going camping, so the girls are very excited.

Gracie is still loving school and got her very first birthday party invitation the other day.  It's a super hero themed party so she will be going as Wonder Woman.  Lucie is all signed up for Pre-K and it can't come soon enough.  We have decided to keep Gracie at Sacred Heart so she too is signed up for Kindergarten this fall!  They are growing up.  Alex will be a Junior this coming year.  Just think his Senior year we will have all the kids enrolled in school full time :)

We are doing great, trying to get through this long drawn out winter.  We have done our best to take the kids out and do things out of the house on the weekends but there isn't a whole lot to do with the big age gap between Alex and the girls.

RJ and I are both working out at Survival Fitness now.  His schedule is about to change at work to 4 on 4 off a continuing rotating schedule working 7pm-7am.  It's going to be an adjustment for us but we can handle it.

Alex made the Iowa Corn Sharks 16 Regional BB team.  He has practice in Perry and a lot of tourney's in Ankeny and Des Moines, but there are several out of state, starting with the first one in Omaha the first weekend in April.

Gracie Jane is 5 years old.............

Gracie Jane Vodenik.  What can I say but that we are so very proud of you and the young lady you are becoming.  You are very smart and curious about so many things.  You weigh all of 41 pounds and we finally let you get your hair cut to your shoulders this year.  Of course I made you wait until after your school pictures.  You love to be read to, love watching movies, coloring, learning how to sew and doing the "cuddle nose" with me.  You LOVE school which we are excited about.

TFW..... Training For Warriors...........

I am back at it again!  TFW, formally known as Bootcamp started last night again on January 6, 2014.  I am in the blue shirt pictured above.  I am super excited that we have 16 people in our class, great way to start off.  My goals are to lose weight and build strength and muscles.  I need to lose at least 25 pounds before we even think about trying to have another baby.  Yes, I said it, we are going to try and have one more baby.  2014 is going to be great!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to my one and only......

Happy birthday to RJ, he turns 35 today.  We celebrated his birthday on Sunday by going to the Viking's vs. Bears game in Minnesota.  We Won 23-20 in overtime, what an exciting game.  They haven't had the greatest season this being only the 4th game they won, but a win is a win and it was awesome to be there to see it!!!!!!!!!  Tonight we will be going to Alex's first JV basketball game of the season and then have angel food cake at home afterwards!
