Winter's peaking..........

Well it is November 18th, and winter sure is peaking around the corner. Our next big project if you will, is tearing down the walls in the girls' room, removing the lath and plaster, putting in insulation, and then putting up new drywall. We will be doing this in the next couple of weeks. There is absolutely no insulation anywhere in the house and it is always so cold. So then it raises the question, where do we sleep while we are doing that?? I think our answer is that we might put the girls in Alex's room during the process. I mean his room is now vacant for two weeks at a time, so why not.
I really wish we had more room in our house. The girls are sharing a room and we are sleeping in the sitting area upstairs. We will make it work for as long as we have to, but I hate having everyone on top of eachother all of the time.

This past Sunday we had a big birthday party to celebrate Gracie's 2nd birthday. We had a total of 49 people attending. We had beef burgers, chips and pop for our meal, then we had cake and ice cream!!
Gracie got so many wonderful presents including a Mrs. Potato head, a Barbie, several read along books (which she loves), 2 great pairs of shoes, new tinkerbell bedding, a woobie, a hat, money, play food, and so many other great gifts!! Thanks to everyone for all of her presents she will love them and play with them all of the time! One of Gracie's favorite things from her party was her cakes! A giant thanks to J&J's Sweet Craving's (Jennifer Herrick) for making her Tinkerbell cake, she loved it and so did I!! Overall it was such a good time. Happy birthday to my baby girl who is 2 now and growing so fast.
She had her 2 year check up on Monday and she is now 34 inches, 26lbs 2oz. That puts her in the 50th percentile for height and weight which is right where she should be!!!!

A couple of weeks ago we went and spent the day with our good friends Nick & Kara in Norwalk. We watched the Hawks in a very impressive game even though they lost, but we had a great time. Our girls are around the same age so we love getting them together when we can. Gracie is 2, Ellie will be 1 next weekend, and Lucie is 10 months old! They all played very well together and looked super cute sporting their Hawkeye gear!!!! We then had a delicious meal that Kara made, which is one of my favorites, Cheddar meat loaves!! Thanks Kara!

Gracie's 2nd Birthday........

Yesterday was my baby's 2nd birthday. She was so excited all day long. She started off the day by coming to visit Mommy at work which is always fun. Grandma Beth got her a happy meal for lunch and then we had pizza and fruit for supper!!! Once we were done with supper, we had a small cake here at home and opened just a couple of presents. She was sooo excited about her new piggy bank that we got her and she loved loved loved her new jammies and brush and hair ties that Grandma and Pop-up (Papa) got her. It was just a small simple party at home. Now on Sunday we will have a huge birthday party with the entire family to celebrate her turning 2!! Happy Birthday baby, we love you more than you will ever know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love,
Mom & Dad
